Startup bakery that was looking to develop their brand through the creation of a mobile application that creates and processes custom orders.

Overview

Muffix is a startup bakery that provides customizable recipes based on individual health and dietary needs.

By adhering to the nutritional and dietary needs of their clientele, they are able to serve an often underrepresented population.

As the business began to expand, they started to struggle with order tracking and demand.

Their goal was to develop an application that would allow customers to input their custom orders directly, allowing for streamlined order tickets that are easier to manage and track.

Research / Brand Exploration

Findings:
After speaking with both the owner and previous clients, it became clear that the biggest challenge was to ensure custom recipes were easy to make, while also satisfying health/nutritional concerns.

Goals:
Facilitate the clean and easy communication between the customer and owner regarding their order details.

Provide users agency in the process of developing their recipes, and allow for discovery of unknown options to increase retention.

The Brand :
A complete overhaul of the brand was requested. Initial exploration with the Jester, Innocent, and Outlaw archetypes was developed.

After discussion with owners and competitive research, the Outlaw was chosen for the new face of the company.

This choice was made in order to stand out from the crowded field of "Innocent" bakeries and to support the concept of bringing a health revolution to baked goods.
